Meet the Singers

Before a concert begins, there is usually a familiar scene.

Music folders are opened and checked one last time. Someone shares a joke to calm the nerves. Friends who met through the choir exchange smiles across the stage. Newer members stand alongside singers who have been part of Bali Community Choir for many years.

A few minutes later, individual voices come together as one.

These are the people behind Bali Community Choir—a diverse group of singers brought together by a love of music and a shared commitment to community.

No two choir members follow the same path to Bali Community Choir.

Some grew up singing in school, church, or community choirs. Others joined after years away from music. Some arrived in Bali looking for a creative outlet, while others were searching for a way to meet people and feel more connected to the place they now call home.

Today, rehearsals bring together Indonesians and members of the international community, creating a choir that reflects the diversity of Bali itself.

What begins as a weekly rehearsal often becomes something more—a place where friendships form, confidence grows, and familiar faces become part of everyday life.

Throughout the year, our singers come together for community events, commemorative services, seasonal celebrations, and fundraising concerts.

For audiences, a performance lasts an hour or two.
