Do You Hear the People Sing?
There is something special about a room full of people singing together.
On Saturday, 19 September, Bali Community Choir invites you to join us for Do You Hear the People Sing?, our Annual Concert at GKMI Ekklesia in Pedungan.
For months, our singers have gathered each week to rehearse, laugh, learn new music, and build friendships across cultures and generations. This concert is the culmination of that journey—a chance to share the music we love with the wider Bali community.
As the lights dim and the first notes fill the hall, you’ll hear more than a choir performance. You’ll hear the voices of teachers, retirees, entrepreneurs, artists, students, long-term Bali residents, and newcomers to the island. People from different backgrounds united by a shared love of singing.
The programme features a rich selection of traditional choral music alongside uplifting favourites, performed by a choir that has been bringing people together through music in Bali since 2009. In the final part of the evening, we invite you to journey back to childhood as we revisit familiar nursery rhymes and playful songs that many of us grew up with. This joyful segment is designed to awaken memories of innocence, laughter, and carefree fun—and we warmly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, join in, and relive those moments with us.
Whether you are a regular concertgoer, a supporter of community arts, or simply looking for a meaningful evening out with family and friends, this is an opportunity to experience the warmth, joy, and connection that make Bali Community Choir so special.
